Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your name (optional) and mobile number, when you ask for a slot, join a waitlist or register interest.
• When you request an inspection slot: the time you asked for, the car’s details (make, model and, if you give them, year, registration and listing link), where the car is (an address or landmark), your email address if you give one, and when you accepted our cancellation policy.
• Where the car is: the area you pick or, only if you choose “I’m with the car right now”, your device’s location.
• Anything you write to us, in a form or on WhatsApp.
• Booking details and payment status. Payments go through Razorpay; we never receive card or bank details.
• A one-way, salted hash of your IP address, used only to limit abuse of our forms. We do not store the IP address itself.

Why we use it

• To tell you whether we cover the car’s location, and the price.
• To arrange, carry out and follow up your inspection, and send your report.
• To tell you when we reach your area or launch a service you registered interest in.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit it. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this does not affect processing already done.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the people and services needed to provide the inspection:

• Our inspector assigned to your booking.
• Service providers acting on our instructions: database and hosting (Supabase, Hostinger), payments (Razorpay), email and messaging (our email provider, WhatsApp), and bot protection on the slot request form (Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks the request came from a person and processes technical data about your browser to do so).
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside India, as the Act permits.

How long we keep it

Only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations such as tax records. Then it is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, complete or erase your personal data, nominate someone to act for you, and have a grievance addressed. To make any of these requests, contact our Grievance Officer, Maria Zita Anthony, at zita@servicegeni.in. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies and storage on your device

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The site keeps a little data in your browser to work: the result of a location check while you move to the next page (session storage, cleared when you close the tab), whether you dismissed the “install app” prompt (local storage), and cached pages so the site opens offline.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
